Ronke Ojo's "Gbajumo" is A Classic Yoruba Comedy

Ronke Ojo was at her best in this Yoruba comedy http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IcGTYNB44cMGbajumo. It was produced by Ronke Ojo and directed by Saheed Balogun.

The movie featured top Yoruba movie stars, from Saheed Balogun to Kayode Odumosu and from Rachael Oniga to Eniola Olaniyan. Seyi Ogunde acted well as the husband of "Ayoka" in London.

The movie was shot at locations in Nigeria and the UK.
The scenes in the village in Western Nigeria were well shot and the scenes in London were good. The performance of the cast was good. The cameramen did very well.

Ronke Ojo who played the leading role of "Ayoka", the semi-literate Yoruba village beauty also wrote the story. The exposé on the Nigerian visa racketeering in the UK was a good plot in the serio-comic movie.

I found "Gbajumo" more entertaining than "Osuofia in London" and with a better cast too.

The title of the movie should have been "Ayoka" and not "Gbajumo". "Ayoka" would have beem more popular among fans of Yoruba movies.

I give "Gbajumo" two thumbs up and five stars.
