British Film Maker Joan Root Shot Dead in Kenya

NAIVASHA, KENYA.

BoggyWoggy just read the terrible news that Joan Root the celebrated British wild life conservationist and film maker was killed in Naivasha, Kenya.

I have been searching for photos of Joan Root without finding any online. Even the BBC that should have reported the news with her picture did not do so. And I am disappointed that the almighty BRITISH BROADCASTING CORPORATION couldn't report this very important news with a picture of Joan Root one of the most accomplished British Film Makers who was always on location with her husband Alan.
"BALLOON SAFARI".
From Yahoo News:
Joan Root, who along with ex-husband Alan Root made a number of films about Kenya and Africa, was shot three times with an AK-47 rifle in her bedroom at her home in Naivasha, about 90 km (56 miles) northwest of the capital Nairobi.

Root and her ex-husband made a number of films celebrating African wildlife, notably the 1976 film "Balloon Safari".
